PowerLine blog reports that we Waterboard military aviators as part of SERE training:
The Waterboard is used as a safe (but TERRIBLY
effective) way of SIMULATING torture in POW training (scuttlebutt was
always that one, of the two to three people administering the
Waterboard, was a Doctor or Corpsman in disguise). As a former Navy
fighter pilot, I was put on the Waterboard in February 1973 - and it
was an experience I never wanted to repeat.
So I guess the US Goverment tortures our uniformed aviators too.
