mostly right... but I have to admit that Bush was part of the problem too, from the Medicare drug plan to illegal immigration, he too stepped away from the conservative agenda. I think it was a bit more complicated, too many GOP candidates stepped away from the President totally, rather than stepping away from the places he messed up. As Repubs should have taken Reagan to task over amnesty and the cowardly run from Lebanon, but supported most of the rest of what Reagan did, Bush should have been taken to task over the Medicare drug plan and illegal immigration and supported on most of the rest. So now we are stuck with the Dems trying to kill what he got right and to pass what he is wrong about. After all the public is torn on whether the
Dem's ideas are right.
Addendum: Kinda off kilter compared to her analysis, but I'm more into blaming our politicians than blaming our fairly new media. They have years of learning before they are anywhere near the experience of the old.
